The murders are being blamed on local legend The Jersey Devil. When King's best friend State Trooper Bennett is murdered, King teams up with FBI agent Alan Blake to crack the case!
Behind it all is the work of Charles Barcroft, who is intent on obtaining the Buried Treasure of Captain Kidd. Barcroft hires two vicious killers, Lewis and Duncan, to take care of King, and Blake and get the treasure.
